D.D. Quizbone

Written for the award-winning Lamont Jazz Orchestra of the University of Denver, D.D. Quizbone is an exciting modern salsa jazz written with a 2-3 clave. The montuno pattern along with chord symbols are written out for piano, as is a suggested groove for the drums.

Solo sections for trombone, trumpet, and drums. Standard alto-tenor-bari saxophone section no doubles. Highest note in lead trumpet is a Db concert above the staff.  Featuring a small group within the big band playing an epic angular main theme, this is the perfect closer for any concert!
