Paul McKee
Season 1 where the shows were audio-only and feature film length (pre sampler platter) and the podcast was called "The Leadology Podcast.” In this pre-video era it was trombonists only (in conjunction with my book "Leadology") On S1, Ep7, we were graced with a hang by my dear friend Paul McKee.
A visit to You Dig (then called “Leadology”) by the great Paul McKee. One of the all-time virtuoso jazz trombonists and composer/arrangers, Paul was a dear friend to myself and quite literally everyone he ever met. We discuss all aspects of his approach to trombone playing and his background that led to his iconic and compelling oeuvre.
We lost this great man WAY too early but happily, we have his music along with all the ripples of joyous and inspirational influence he caused through his interaction with colleagues and students. One of the absolute greats!
